Ah, life. Always throwing things at us! LOL
So I've been pretty busy over the last while but, unfortunately, little of it has had to do with crafting. Some of it you can read about here. Others, I've already mentioned in a previous post. Some I will write about in future posts or Squidoo lenses, as warrented. Most of it involves a whole lot of running around! *L*
My biggest news is that I finally got my crochet instructor evaluation! I sent my completed course in months ago, but my awesome instructor has had things pretty busy, too, and is still backlogged. We spent an hour and a half on the phone, and I enjoyed every minute of it! I'm proud to say that I passed and, once the paperwork is processed, I will officially be a certified instructor with the Craft Yarn Council. Now I need to get my butt in gear and finish Level 2. Once I pass that, I will be officially listed as a professional crocheter. How cool is that?
Meanwhile, Easter is coming and it's time to prepare. I normally would have started a new Easter craft by now, but just haven't had the time to do it. I've been distracted by other things! We're also preparing to welcome the friend of one of my daughters into our home again for several months while he takes a course locally. We're pretty excited for him! Looking forward to it.
Which means I have just a little while left to do my Easter craft for this year, and I don't even know what I'm going to do!
Any suggestions?

Awesome Egg Carving
Egg carving is something that caught my attention a while ago, but I couldn't find much practical information about it. Today, I found this on Squidoo. Egg Carving.

New stuff
I've recently started writing for Squidoo and just finished a new lens (article) for National Crochet Week/Month. Feel free to visit The Joy of Hooking for some fun info and ideas about crochet.
With spring around the corner, I've also put together a lens for those city dwellers like me who'd like to grow some veggies and greens on their balcony in Your Balcony Garden.
Easter is also around the corner, so I just had to share our favourite tradition, Making a Polish Easter Basket.
And for the Canadian foodies out there, it's time for Rediscovering Mdm Benoit!
I hope you enjoy these. Please feel free to leave a comment, click the "like" buttons or share them with others.
Have a day!

Neckwarmer
Just finished sewing the buttons on this waffle pattern neckwarmer for a client. Will post a link to the original pattern when I am not posting from my phone. LOL I will be making the head piece in a matching waffle stitch for most of it.

Class Schedule 2012
Well, today's instructor meet 'n' greet was a blast! I shared a table with our new knitting instructor, which in itself was a lot of fun. I'm sure her students are going to really enjoy her classes! There were 6 of us instructors altogether, and they're a pretty wild and crazy bunch. :-D
For my own classes, I'm trying to keep things consistant as far as dates and times. This makes it rather easy to plan my class schedule for the entire year! Of course, there is always the possibility of changes in schedule. Right off the top, my Single Crochet class for April happens to fall on Good Friday, so it is cancelled outright. I have people who want to take that class, so I will be looking up when the classroom is available and finding an alternate date. I will post that as soon as I have it confirmed. Any changes like this will be posted on my blog, plus I hope to get this post updated as well.

Meet and Greet
Just a quick note while I've got some time on the computer. Tommorrow (Saturday, March 3rd) is an instructors meet 'n' greet at Michaels. I will be at the Clareview location, as usual. All instructors will be there to answer questions about their classes from 1-3pm. Anyone who signs up for a class, any time on March 3, will get 25% off the cost of registration.
I hope to see some of you tomorrow! :-)
